“There is no such thing as bad art, just art,” he says. Noting whatever type of work he’s doing, he tries to at least get one new work done a day, no matter how small or large.

“Art is about progression and you don’t get better without practice,” he explains. “It’s muscle memory and familiarity to mediums on how you improve as an artist.”

Kowalchuk doesn’t pre-draw anything any more, “Freestyling artworks right to ink keeps drawing more spontaneous and interesting. The pen will tell you what the drawing will be as it hits its surface, no need to over think it.”

“More people should realize how relaxing creating art can be, it’s better than yoga. So pick up a paint brush and have fun.”
