My name is Isaac Watamaniuk. 25 years old ( in 3 weeks ) and I live in Kitchener Ontario. My grandmother used to be a professional painter..when I first moved to Ontario from Edmonton my family lived with them in their bed and breakfast and she would teach us how to paint and draw.
Oddly enough though my clearest memory of that time period was how well my grandpa could draw horses. He loves them and can draw them so well it always blew my mind.
I think I was 5 years old. I drew and doodled randomly until I was 12. Then I started skated and sort of just stopped. I just picked up photography about a month ago shooting 35mm film and 2 weeks ago bought a book and pen and started drawing again…in an attempt to let out a bunch of stuff on my mind as well as phase into doing all the graphics for my skateboard company (www.loveskateboards.ca). I’m planning on getting into wood working next month. Making rustic furniture and carving my drawings into them. That’s my ultimate desire as an “artist” or what ever.
